THIS WEBSITE IS OPERATED BY VILAWALA.COM. By accessing or using this website, mobile web application, or any related service (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by the terms below. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the platform

Vilawala.com is an online marketplace that facilitates bookings between property owners ("Owners") and guests, tenants or renters ("Users"). We are not the owner of any listed property. We are not a party to any tenancy, lease or stay agreement — those are entered into directly between the User and the Owner. Vilawala.com only provides the technology, discovery, communication, and payment-processing infrastructure.

2. Eligibility

Users and Owners must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law, and must not be barred from receiving services under the laws of India. By registering, you confirm you meet these criteria.

3. Account & role switching

• You may register a single account per email address, either as a Guest (User) or Owner. You may switch between Guest and Owner mode at any time from your dashboard.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Any activity performed via your account is deemed to be your action.
• Owners are prohibited from booking their own properties.

4. Listings, pricing & commission

• Owners set their own daily, monthly and yearly prices in Indian Rupees (₹ INR).
• Vilawala.com displays the Owner's price to Users exactly as listed. There is no platform fee, no service fee, no convenience fee and no hidden markup added on top of the Owner's price.
• Backend of Vilawala.com is the sole authority for the final amount charged. Any figure calculated on the front-end is only indicative.
• Example: Owner price ₹100 → User pays ₹100 → Owner receives ₹90 → Vilawala retains a 10% commission (₹10) from the Owner's earnings.
• Listing on Vilawala.com is free. We only earn our 10% commission on successfully paid bookings.

5. Booking & payment flow

• User selects dates and sends a booking request → the Owner reviews and confirms or rejects.
• Payment is disabled until the Owner confirms. Guests are never charged before confirmation.
• After Owner confirmation, the User completes payment via PayU. Payment is verified by SHA-512 hash match on the backend before the booking is marked Paid.
• Once payment is confirmed, the booking status becomes "Paid" and a receipt is available in the User's dashboard.

6. Owner obligations

• Owners must list only properties they lawfully control and must provide accurate photos, amenities, house rules and location.
• Owners must honour every confirmed booking; a confirmed booking is a binding contract with the User.
• Owners must not collect any additional off-platform payments from a User for the confirmed booking.

7. User obligations

• Users must respect the Owner's house rules and check-in / check-out times as displayed on the property page.
• Users must not misuse, damage or use the property for any unlawful purpose.

8. Reviews & ratings

Only Users who have completed a paid booking may leave a review or rating. Reviews are moderated for hate speech, personal attacks and false claims.

9. Intellectual property

The Vilawala.com name, logo, code, and site design are the sole property of BHART SHARMA (proprietor). Property photos are the property of the respective Owners; by uploading, Owners grant Vilawala.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on the Platform.

10. Limitation of liability

Vilawala.com is not liable for any dispute, damage, injury, loss or claim arising out of the actual stay, the condition of the property, or any interaction between User and Owner. Our liability, if any, is strictly limited to the commission actually earned by Vilawala.com on the specific booking in dispute.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, our policies, or Indian law. Fraudulent listings, fake reviews or attempts to bypass our fee are grounds for immediate termination.

12. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
